Here is the second vid by Jimmie Inch and Ian McInnis, East Coast Sessions called “Jealousy”. This song came to me in a dream, every lyric. I woke up around 5am the morning of Ham Jam Music Festival, grabbed my guitar, jumped in the van, and wrote it out before it was forgotten. It was kind of Gospelly with lots of people singing it in my dream.

Here’s a new vid shot in our new kitchen. Jimmie Inch and Ian McInnis came out to the farm to shoot songs and an interview for their TV show, East Coast Sessions. Here is one of the songs written by myself-(Keith Mullins), Thom Swift and Steven Bowers when we were in northern AB on Keith Mullins/Thom Swift Youth Song Project

I dreamt the chords to the song, awoke at 5:30ish and woke Thom up as I was playing the chords…..He looked at me, blurry eye tired as I apologized and said if I didn’t get them down quick after my dream, I would surely forget them. We left for Fort McMurray Composite High, and wrote this song with the students in one hour.

Coincidently, the other song in the TV sessions that myself, Rheo, and Phonogarde play is also song that I dreamt….but I had dreamt the song in full while at Ham Jam Music Festival 2011.

Anyway, here’s the 1st vid, I hope you like it and please share along if you do like it.

We had thunder and lightning  during the video shoot.  You can hear the thunder right at the end. What a great job Analog Songs did.

Excited for the summer…….I had an amazing night last night at Petite Riviere Winery. What a crowd, everyone singing harmony at the top of their lungs.

And I had an awesome tour with Charlie A’Court playing bass, percussion and singing a few of my songs for Stellula Music in the Schools and at the Boathouse in Midland ON. I’ll be coming back in October for an Ontario tour so look out!

A songcircle tour featuring Christina Martin, Dale Murray, Keith Mullins & Steven Bowers

April 20: King’s Theatre (Annapolis Royal)

May 11: The Dockside (Canso)
May 12: Glasgow Square Theatre (New Glasgow)

This show will follow a Song Circle Format as Christina Martin, Dale Murray, Steven Bowers & Keith Mullins will take turns telling stories and playing their own songs. The show will be different from traditional song-circles in that all artists will have rehearsed the performance in advance and back each other on every song (harmonies, percussion, piano, guitars).
The musicianship combined with the storytelling, sense of humor and chemistry between these acclaimed East Coast Artists will guarantee an engaging and fun show. Adding to the show value is the timing for these artists to be on stage together, with both Steven Bowers and Award Winning Producer/Musician Dale Murray having their new solo albums out, Keith Mullins having released two albums in 2010, and Christina Martin preparing to release her fifth album in Spring 2012.

When we shot this, I had no idea that it was going to be broadcast nationally.  I wonder how the interview would’ve been had I’d known…lol.  All for the better I guess.  So I’m just ecstatic to find this is being shown across our great nation.
